We believe in freedom of movement for all.
GEMS over 65’s Dance Class
GEMS is a friendly and relaxed dance class for over 65s which includes a mixture of seated and standing movements with a focus on everyone going at their own pace and above all, having fun!
GEMS is more than a dance class. It’s about being part of a community, building friendships and everyone enjoying themselves. We cover a wide range of styles and facilitate the exploration of creative movement.
There is the option to stay after the class for tea/coffee.
We often showcase our dancers’ skills at performances – and everyone’s welcome to take part (if they’d like to)! Take a look at some of our recent and upcoming performances and events.

Care Homes
Are you looking for a fun activity for your care home in Hampshire? We’ve got you covered!
Our care home classes introduce dance in a way that is safe, accessible and most importantly enjoyable for all residents.
“We understand the benefits that dance and movement to music has for our residents’ health and well-being, as well as it being wonderful to see how much they enjoy Move Momentum’s sessions.” – Care Home Manager, Old Alresford Cottage
Our teachers will deliver the sessions at the residents’ pace making sure that everyone feels comfortable and supported. Sessions will be primarily chair-based but we can also provide standing movement if suitable for the residents. We are specialists in leading sessions for individuals with Dementia and Parkinson’s using music and movement to provide a joyful experience.
“I deliver the workshop from the lounge and it’s normally full, so usually about 15 people – some do all the dancing, others just like to tap or sing along with the songs. We also use various props and music from 50s & 60s and adapt the sessions to a varying range of health conditions.” – Class Teacher
